Cake Couture was established in 2010 when I became hooked on experimenting with ingredients, cake decorating techniques and the art of sugar flowers. Mostly self taught, I have continued to hone these skills and have built a reputable, respected small business creating beautiful, bespoke wedding cakes. I’m lucky to have wonderful clients who trust my experience and abilities to bring their ideas to life, from the simplest designs to towering, ornate creations.
My main inspiration is nature and I enjoy working with textures, organic tones and unstructured forms. Equally, I’m drawn to clean lines, structure and contrast as well as classic, elegant designs with intricate detail: An eclectic mix of influences that allows me to meet the unique needs of each individual couple.
Being involved with couples as they plan their weddings is a real privilege. Seeing everything come together on the wedding day and adding the finishes touches to the cake gives me enormous satisfaction and of course, the post-wedding ‘thank-you’s‘ make all the hard work worthwhile.
